Good morning all
I hope you are all keeping safe and well (and dry!) in your bubbles and continuing to show our EC value of Manaakitanga to each other at this time. As always, wellbeing remains a key focus for all of us – so please do take the time to care for yourself and others as you are able to do so. If there is any way we can support you or your wh膩nau in this regard please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
As announced by the Prime Minister yesterday Auckland will be remaining at Alert Level 4 for the next two weeks, through to Tuesday 14 September. As we are currently in Week 6 of the term, this will take us through to the middle of Week 8, with a move to Alert Level 3 then possible (depending on how the outbreak is tracking). What this does mean is that the best case scenario we may be at Alert Level 2 for 8 days at the end of the term.
What this does mean is that it is important that all students are engaging in distance learning and assessment where possible, and in the way(s) that work best for you and your wh膩nau. This week we are doing a google survey of all students to see how they are going and ask if any further assistance is needed from a wellbeing/learning/assessment/device / internet perspective via the link below.
Online student survey
Please ensure that you / your child goes online and completes this survey as soon as possible. We need this information to ensure that we are able to continue to support you over the remainder of the term.
There are internet connection options available from the government if you do not have a current internet connection at your place of residence. Please complete the survey to let us know if you do not have a current internet connection.

If you are an essential worker who will need supervision at school for your Year 9 or 10 child at Alert Level 3 then please ensure that they indicate this via the survey above as well.
Senior students / NCEA
Please know that any work that is currently being completed can be used as evidence for Assessment purposes. It is essential that you keep in contact with your teachers and complete any work set to the best of your ability in order for you to obtain your best possible results in NCEA this year.
We are expecting Learning Recognition Credits to be applied like last year but these have not been confirmed as yet. We will also be moving Prize Giving one week later to the 9th of November to give us some additional teaching time with you.
The main priority now is to keep in touch with your teachers and complete the work that is being set to the best of your ability. It doesn’t matter if you are behind or don’t get it done perfectly – just give it a go and hand it in so that your teachers can support you with feedback and feedforward.
Safety online
With more students working online we do encourage all parents / wh膩nau to take advantage of the free content filtering service provided by Network 4 Learning at this link: Switch on safety. This will provide additional protection for all learner devices once they are off the school site and not protected by our internet filtering service.

Vaccinations
Further information from the Ministry of Health about vaccinations is available , and you can book in for a vaccine via the website. As well as all adults who are 30+ you are able to take any children aged 12-15 with you to get vaccinated. Unichem Pharmacy in Pakuranga is also taking direct bookings for staff and students of 小鸟酱视频. You can contact them at 11 Cortina Place in Pakuranga (underneath the Pakuranga Medical Centre), or Phone (09) 577 1237. Keep in touch
Please continue to get in contact with your teachers, Mentor teachers, or Deans if there is anything that is preventing you / your child from engaging in your learning. If you are not sure who to contact about a specific matter please email [email protected] in the first instance.
