Kia ora koutou katoa
I hope you have all enjoyed a good break over the Christmas period and been able to make the most of the lovely weather. We are very much looking forward to welcoming back all our new and current students back onsite next week! Please rest assured we have done extensive planning to ensure that we can safely operate for both students and staff at any level of the Covid Protection Framework (CPF). Please see below key information for all students returning to school next week.
Start to year
With the move to the RED level of the CPF we have had to make some changes to our usual start of year arrangements.
Please note – you MUST stay home if you feel unwell, are self-isolating or waiting for a Covid-19 test result. Any students who arrive at school unwell will have their parents/caregivers contacted and will be sent home.
Year 9 students
- School starts at 9 am on Wednesday 2 February.
- Please wear a mask and assemble on the front lawn.
- If it is wet, you will be directed via the hall directly to your Mentor Class.
Years 10 – 13
- School starts at 9 am on Thursday 3 February.
- Please wear and mask and go directly to your Mentor Class for a 9 am start.
Year 13
- We will not be holding our Leadership Assembly on Wednesday 2 February. Instead, this will be held in Mentor Classes online on Tuesday 8 February.
- If you are not a Peer Support leader then your first day of school will be Thursday 3 February as above.
RED protocols
Please find attached a summary of key information about keeping our community safe at CPF RED Level. All Mentor teachers will go through this information with students on their first day of school and answer any questions students or parents may have.
In particular, please note that students must wear a face mask and not a covering such as a scarf or bandana.
Vaccination
All 小鸟酱视频 staff are fully vaccinated and are currently receiving their Booster Doses as they become eligible.
It is highly recommended that all students are vaccinated with at least one dose before returning to school in order to keep themselves and other members of our community safe. Please note that this is not a requirement – all students are entitled to an education at our school regardless of their vaccination status.
Teaching and Learning at RED
All schools remain open at CPF RED level and students who are well are encouraged to be onsite for face-to-face teaching and learning. All classes will also have an online classroom (Google Classroom / Teams) where students can access the onsite learning if they are unwell / isolating and cannot be onsite. We will send out a summary of links to these online classrooms next week.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your Mentor Teacher or Dean if you have any questions / require any further information.
I hope you enjoy your long weekend and look forward to seeing you all from Wednesday / Thursday next week.
Ng膩 mihi
